Playlists are the core content source for FamTiVi channels. By assembling playlists from trusted YouTube creators, you create structured viewing journeys without unpredictable algorithmic recommendations.
1. What Kinds of Playlists Can You Use?
FamTiVi supports standard public and unlisted YouTube playlists, including:
- Educational Series: Multi-part science courses, language learning lessons, or math tutorials.
- Creative & Craft Tutorials: Step-by-step drawing, music practice, or building guides.
- Family Entertainment: Curated collections of animated shorts, audiobooks, or documentaries.
2. Adding a Playlist to a Topic
To link a playlist to a Topic:
- Copy the URL of any public YouTube playlist or channel (e.g.,
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...). - Sign in to your account at famtivi.com .
- Open Topics from the navigation and click on the Topic you wish to update.
- Click Create Playlist.
- In the constructor dialog, select the URL tab, paste the YouTube URL into the input field, and click Validate and Search.
- Review the fetched video list, then click Save Playlist to attach the playlist to your Topic.
3. Managing and Pruning Playlist Videos
You don’t have to keep every video in a third-party playlist:
- Inside your Topic details, toggle video selection on the attached playlist to reveal video selection checkboxes.
- Check the unwanted videos that you wish to remove from the playlist.
- Click the Delete button and confirm in the confirmation prompt.
- FamTiVi removes the selected videos from the playlist, streaming only the approved remaining videos during scheduled broadcast windows.
4. Reordering Content
- In the Topic editor, drag or reorder playlists to set the sequence in which content streams.
- When a recurring schedule slot is active, FamTiVi plays through videos sequentially and saves progress so the next session resumes seamlessly.
