TiVi Topics

Topics in FamTiVi are high-level categories that organize video content into meaningful collections. Each topic contains one or more playlists, and each playlist contains multiple videos. This hierarchy helps families, educators, coaches, and teams easily explore, curate, and consume structured content.

Topics serve as the foundation for:

  • Grouping related videos
  • Creating structured learning or entertainment paths
  • Sharing curated content across teams
  • Scheduling content to watch on the TiVi Player

Creating Topics:

Users can create topics from:

When creating a topic, give it a name, description, category, and optional visibility rules.Once a topic is created, FamTiVi redirects you to the Playlist Creation Page, where you begin adding content.

Building Playlists Within a Topic:

Once a topic is created, the user is redirected to the playlist creation page, where the users can:

Search for Content

YouTube search supports:

  • Video search
  • Playlist search
  • Channel search
  • URL-based search

Search results appear instantly, and users can select or deselect videos before saving.

Saving Videos

When saving selected videos, users can:

  • Create a new playlist, or
  • Add videos to existing playlists inside the topic

Playlists created inside a topic become part of that topic’s learning path.

Managing Topics and Playlists

After creation, users can perform several actions:

Edit Topic

  • Update topic details
  • Change visibility
  • Reorder playlists
  • Change cover/icon

Manage Playlists

For each playlist, users can:

  • Add or remove videos
  • Rename the playlist
  • Change playlist order within the topic
  • Delete the playlist

Watch Now

Users can instantly play a topic’s content on the FamTiVi Player using the Watch Now button.

Schedule in Calendar

Topics and their playlists can be scheduled inside the TiVi Calendar.
When scheduling:

  • The topic’s videos and playlists load automatically
  • Users can set recurring schedules
  • Content is organized for structured viewing

Public Topics and Syncing

FamTiVi offers a public library of curated public library of topics across different categories.
Users can:

Add Public Topics to Library

  • Click Add to Library
  • The topic and its playlists/videos sync into the user’s account
  • Users get full read access

Share Topics Publicly

If you curate your own topics, you can make them public by enabling Make Public in the Topic Edit form.
This allows others to:

  • Discover your topic
  • Sync it into their library
  • Use your curated playlists and videos

Sharing Across Teams

Topics can be shared across multiple teams. When shared, team members can:

  • View playlists
  • Watch videos
  • Schedule content
  • Follow the curated structure you created
